Studio117B was created for artists that wish to further their abilities in figurative art. There is a live model every session and the studio has professional equipment, art benches, easels, lighting and a stage. A wide range of artists attend from beginners just starting their studies to working professionals. There is a great group of friendly regulars and new comers are always welcome.

Come out and meet other local comics creators for food, drinks, and peer support. Pull out your current project for feedback, network, collaborate, increase your monthly output... I mean to keep this adaptable to whatever interest you bring to it, and always casual.
Eat pie. Draw doodles. Draw pie. Eat Doodles. We don't judge. Bring your friends and hang out with fellow artists. We sit around, chatter about whatever, and draw while we're at it. Only rule is don't be an asshole, but that same rule applies to real life. We're pretty relaxed like that.
We are hosting lifedrawing and painting workshops Monday and Thursday evenings from 7 to 10 pm. Both evenings are twenty-five minute poses for uninstructed drawing. We are located at 4451 Kingswell Ave, at the Northeast corner of Kingswell and Hillhurst in the heart of Los Feliz Village. There's a long driveway and we're all the way at the back, through a little courtyard to a burgundy door. The donation is fifteen dollars per session on a pay as you go basis.
